The carrier-grade MX2008 5G Universal Routing Platform helps service providers and cloud operators address long-term traffic, subscriber, and services growth. The powerful SDN-ready platform provides high density, capacity, and throughput in only 24 rack units.
With the Modular Port Concentrator 11E (MPC11E) line card, the MX2008 delivers 40 Tbps of throughput in support of dense multirate interfaces for 100GbE, 200GbE, or 400GbE in a single chassis. Density and performance make the MX2008 ideal for a wide variety of edge, core, and converged edge and core applications, including business VPNs, next-generation broadband multiplay, and high-volume Internet and data center internetworking. The MX2008 also addresses the stringent requirements of mobile services with sophisticated timing and virtualization capabilities.
The MX2008 provides the highest levels of network availability with a comprehensive set of resiliency features that include N+1 fabric redundancy, control plane redundancy, N+N power feed redundancy, and N+1 power supply module redundancy. In addition, Virtual Chassis technology supports chassis-level redundancy while allowing you to manage two routers as a single element.
